Brenda Y. Cartwright, EdD

Brenda Y. Cartwright is a Professor of Rehabilitation Counseling. Prior to her current position, she was the Director of the Rehabilitation Counselor Education program at the University of Hawaii, and held teaching appointments in several universities, including Coppin State University, George Washington University, Gallaudet University, Bowie State University, University of the District of Columbia and Kyungpook National University. She brings a distinctive perspective to the classroom-real-world application of theories with over 20 years of counseling and administrative experience in State-Federal vocational rehabilitation, private rehabilitation, and forensic settings. Dr. Cartwright is currently the Region IV Representative to the Board of Directors of the National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE), and a member of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) Ethics Committee. She served on the CRCC Code Revision Task Force, and also served on the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) Commission on Standards and Accreditation, representing the National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns.     [ Click for More ]
