Dr. Brenda Freeman, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is professor of Counselor Education at University of Nevada, Reno. She has been a counselor educator, teaching on the master’s and doctoral levels for almost 30 years, with many national/international publications and presentations. Dr. Freeman has been an evaluator with the State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s “Building on Each-other’s Strengths” Statewide children and families mental health initiative, and works with the Oglala Lakota Nation’s children’s mental health circle of care and systems of care initiatives, and the Quilluete Tribe’s circle of care project for Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) youth and their families.
