M. Cristina F. Lima, MA

Cristina Lima completed her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2012 at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She received her Master’s Degree from the East Tennessee State University with concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008. She has been working in the counseling field since 2001, including over six years of private practice in Brazil, where she received training in Psychology and two Specialist Degrees, one in Health Psychology and the other in Clinical Psychology. She has an extensive experience counseling individuals, groups, families, and couples, addressing a variety of issues, including mental health, developmental and existential issues, and health problems. She has completed the Advanced Training Program in EFCT – Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, and in 2010 she developed and implemented a 4-day workshop with couples survivors of relational cancer at the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, NC, with the purpose of enhancing marital quality and health outcomes among this population.     [ Click for More ]
