Adriana McEachern, PhD

Adriana G. McEachern is an Associate Professor in Counselor Education and served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Accreditation for the past 8 years in the College of Education at Florida International University (FIU). She has been at FIU for 19 years. She is a nationally certified counselor, a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor, and a licensed mental health counselor in Florida. She is the past chair of the American Counseling Association Southern Region, past president of the Florida Counseling Association, the Florida Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Dade Counseling Association. She serves as the ACA-SR representative on the ACA 20/20: A Vision for the Future of Counseling. She is the founder and faculty advisor of the FIU chapter of the counseling honor society, Chi Sigma Iota International. Dr. McEachern has published numerous book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Counseling and Development and the Professional School Counseling Journal on child abuse and emotional maltreatment, exceptional student education, learning disabilities, and other mental health topics.     [ Click for More ]
