Teresa Behrend Fletcher, PhD

Dr. Teresa Fletcher is a Professor at the University of North Georgia and serves as the Clinical Coordinator. She received her BBA from Loyola University-Chicago, her Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and her PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education with a specialty in sport psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has over 20 years of experience in the counseling field where she has worked with adolescents, families, couples and individuals with a variety of mental health concerns. In the last five years, Dr. Fletcher has worked with clients in a small private practice in order to enhance knowledge and teaching in the classroom and maintain proficiency in providing counseling services. Dr. Fletcher works from a positive psychology framework in working with individuals and players to build strengths, positive relationships and develop healthy environments in which to thrive.
