Hannah B. Bayne, PhD

Hannah Barnhill Bayne, PhD, NCC, is a visiting assistant professor of counseling at Virginia Tech. She has a master's degree in community counseling from the College of William and Mary, and completed her doctorate in counselor education at Old Dominion University. She has worked in college counseling and community mental health settings and currently sees clients through a group private practice. She is the graduate student member-at-large for the American College Counseling Association and holds membership in other national and state organizations. Hannah's research interests include empathy development, incorporating spirituality in counseling, integrated care, college student development, counseling GLBT college students, and facilitating the development of clinical skills and cultural competence in counselor education.
