Susan H. Marcus, PhD

Dr. Marcus is a full time professor at Walden University in the College of Behavioral and Social Science Psychology program. She completed her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at Texas Christian University and has more than 25 years of experience in applied research. She has given presentations and conducted research on trauma (compassion fatigue, and non- Western practices for healing and coping with post-traumatic symptoms), and writes about the methodological challenges of conducting research in applied settings. She was Co-Chair of the Annual Traumatology Symposium at Argosy University and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Trauma Professionals International. She is an educator of multicultural/ethnically diverse students, teaching research methods and social psychology. Dr. Marcus is also a certified Iyengar yoga teacher, with over 1000 hours of teacher training, and spent the summer, 2008 studying in Pune, India.
