Synced Audio / Video / Slides

Depending on the size or the complexity of a company, Human Resource responsibilities may fall directly under the Construction Financial Manager (CFM), or the HR personnel will report to the CFM. In either case, the CFM needs to have a thorough understanding of a company’s human resource responsibilities. The purpose of this course is to provide the CFM with an overview of the many aspects of the Human Resource function, and where to turn for assistance in making sure the company is not only complying with its legal obligations, but also in achieving a high standard of excellence.

After this session, you will be able to:
  • Explain the importance of the hiring and orientation processes at your company
  • Identify the resources available for required reporting
  • Discuss Davis Bacon and other prevailing wage laws
  • Determine the value in benefits and the utilization of brokerage firms and benefit providers
  • Recognize how law firms and accounting practices with employment law expertise can assist you
  • Cite important policies and procedures for both administrative and field staff
