Today's Cyber Security Challenge: Protecting You and Your Construction Company
May 13, 2015   3:00pm - 4:00pm
Synced Audio / Video / Slides

Since December of 2013, when Target announced that information on 70 million customers and 40 million payment cards had been stolen, many businesses have begun to take a closer look at their own vulnerability to hackers and whether they have the right systems in place to detect or block criminal activity. Companies in the contracting industries have been especially concerned, as it is believed that the Target hackers gained access through a mechanical contractor.

Cyber security breaches are one of the most serious issues facing businesses today. Not only can these breaches result in lost income and heavy fines, but worst of all you can lose the hard-earned trust of your customers. In this webinar, Holly Holt, VP of Product Management for WennSoft, will share a list of the critical issues that construction business leaders should consider in assessing the security of their systems. This session will cover passwords and logins, credit card processes, the cloud vs. on-site deployment, and other key areas where security could be a concern. The webinar will also include suggestions for a number of concrete steps companies can take to mitigate risk and reduce liability.

After this session, you will be able to:
  • Identify critical issues that can help you assess the security of your IT systems
  • Discuss important considerations surrounding passwords and logins, credit card processes, and cloud vs. on-site deployment
  • Develop steps your company can take to mitigate risk and reduce liability
