Mel Schwarz, Grant Thornton's Director of Tax Legislative Affairs, and Jared S. Novotny, CPA, Grant Thornton’s Senior Manager of Tax Services, will review Congress' progress (or lack thereof) towards changing our Federal tax code, what issues the construction industry needs to focus on, and what steps should be taken to now to minimize the tax burdens, whether Congress ultimately reforms the tax code or not.

After this session, you will be able to:
  • Understand and discuss the uncertain tax climate affecting contractors in 2014
  • Identify long-term individual and corporate taxation trends
  • Effectively plan to minimize tax burdens, whether Congress passes tax reform or not.
