The United States military coined the term VUCA to reflect the growing ‘volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity’ of general conditions and situations. VUCA accurately describes the environment currently facing the construction industry. In times of increased volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, leadership becomes more important than ever before. Leaders will need a new skill set to operate effectively in a VUCA world. This interactive session will explore the unique challenges and opportunities that exist in this new environment and explore the skills leaders will need in order to succeed.
