In this presentation, National Transportation Consultants, Inc.’s Delinda “Dee” Davis will detail the new safety management system put in place by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in December 2010. This presentation will cover how information is collected and data is handled within the system, as well as how companies can review their specific information and how this data can affect their operations. In addition, the presenter will discuss best practices on how a company can use information in the system to improve their scores and target safety practices in the field.

After this session, you will be able to:
  • Identify what data is collected, how it is handled, and see the final product for your company.
  • Review your company specific information as reflected in the FMCSA records to verify its accuracy; be able to interpret the information properly, and learn how to utilize it for future improvement.
  • Challenge erroneous data through the DataQ System so that it will be removed from your safety record.
