Dr. Jan Yager has been selling foreign rights since, at the age of 24, she became head of foreign rights for Grove Press. Over the years, directly or through a network of co-agents, for her own books, for the authors of her small press, Hannacroix Creek Books, Inic., or her foreign rights consulting clients, including Publish on Demand Global (www.publishondemandglobal.com), Jan has sold one or multiple titles into 29 languages plus English reprint rights. A sociologist, author, speaker, and coach, Jan's sold her own Simon & Schuster title, WHEN FRIENDSHIP HURTS, 30 times in 25 languages. Her 30 nonfiction and fiction books include FOREIGN RIGHTS AND WRONGS: Selling or Buying Literary Rights Around the World (forthcoming, Hannacroix Creek Books, Inc., 2011).
