Matt Stillwell spent more than 22 years with the Coral Springs Police Department's Emergency Communications Center in Florida, serving as a Telecommunicator, Shift Supervisor and Manager. He relocated to Oklahoma in August of 2006 and serves as Edmond's Director of Public Safety Communications and Emergency Management He serves the Oklahoma Chapter of APCO as their Executive Council Representative. Matt is Chair of APCO International's Call Center Standards Committee, creating training standards for Telecommunicators, Line Supervisors and Communications Training Officers along with core competencies for Comm Center Directors. He is also a member of the APCO Awards Committee and serves as Chair of the Telecommunicator of the Year Sub-Committee. Matt is a Facilitator for APCO's Project RETAINS which is a program/process that deals with Comm Center staffing, hiring and retention issues. In the past, he has chaired APCO International's Operating Procedures and Training Committee and Best Practices in the Communications Center Task Force.
