Angela Dykes, BSN, RN

Angela Dykes began her nursing career as an LPN and went back to school and earned her Associates in Nursing and shortly after her BSN in Nursing. She has practiced in the Nursing profession for 19 years. She is a Registered Nurse at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She has served as a staff nurse on a post surgical unit where she was an active participant in a research study funded by the Daisy Foundation on the effects of music and white noise on post surgical patients’ perception of pain and anxiety. Angela also served as Chair of the Clinical Practice Council until recently. She has served in the role as a Clinical Patient Safety Coordinator and participated in projects to improve processes within the hospital to ensure the safety of their patients. Angela is a certified Facilitator for Re-Igniting the Spirit of Caring, a 3 day class that is offered monthly to hospital staff to explore strategies for care of self, care of colleagues, and care of patients and families.
