Glenda Rowe, BSN, RN, CMSRN

Glenda Rowe began her nursing career as an LPN in 1994. After working for one year at Hays Med as an LPN, she decided that she could be more influential on patient outcomes if she would go back to school and become an RN. She received her AND in 1996 and worked on a med/surg unit at Hays Med for 13 years, including charge nurse for a 35+ med/surg floor. She went back to school and obtained her BSN in 2004 from Fort Hays State University. She is currently working on her MSN in nursing as a nurse practitioner and is scheduled to graduate May 2013. Glenda has served on various committees involving safety, including Unit Based Council and CUSP committees. She also is an advocate for stopping catheter related blood stream infections. Glenda has been a PICC inserter for 10 years and has recently begun a RN driven PICC insertion team at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in Wakeeney, KS.
