Caroline Ashman began her nursing career in Great Britain in the 1980s. She has lived in the US and practiced in many roles including management and education. She gained her BSN from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ, and her Master's in Nursing Education from Brenau University in Gainsville, GA. She currently works at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA, where she was recently promoted to Director of Education, and also is a very active member of the AMSN On-the-Road Faculty, presenting worldwide for nurses preparing for the certification exam. Caroline has gained a wealth of insight into the benefits of certification and during graduate school conducted research to find out if certification improves confidence and competence.
