Dr. Beth Palmer has 33 years of clinical nursing experience. She received her BSN from UCLA, her MSN from San Diego State University, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University. She is certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Palmer was the recipient of the 2009 Advanced Practice Excellence in Nursing Award from the VA San Diego Healthcare System and the 2009 Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist Award from Point Loma Nazarene University. She currently serves on the editorial board of MEDSURG Nursing and represented AMSN on a National Expert Panel that established and published core Adult-Health/Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist Competencies. Dr. Palmer is currently employed as a Nurse Practitioner at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System.
