Andie Melendez is currently the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Medical Surgical Nursing at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, in Glen Burnie, Maryland (a member of the University of Maryland Healthcare System). Andie is the immediate past chair of the AMSN Clinical Practice Committee, belongs to several professional nursing organizations, and has great passion for treating the patient as a whole (mind, body and spirit). She received her Healing Touch certification in 2001 from both the Healing Touch Program and Healing Touch International, and achieved her USUI Reiki Master attunement in 2010. Andie's vision is to enlist the bedside nurse in making energy therapy a part of daily care to assist each patient in his/her optimum level of wellness and quality of life.
