Jeffrey Behrens, MD, CMD is the Medical Director for VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Palm Beach. He has attended patients in nursing homes since 1988 and is the Medical Director of one. He presently serves on the Communications Committee of AMDA and was a member of the House of Delegates yearly from 2000 - 2005. He is the former Chief-of-Staff at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida. As a member of the voluntary teaching faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, he is also the Residency Education Coordinator, Division of Geriatrics, Department of Internal Medicine at JFK Medical Center.
