Dr. Patel is a Professor of Psychiatry at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Patel is the Director of Behavioral Services at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She also directs one behavior healthcare units in nursing facilities in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Patel is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also Board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Patel is a leading clinician and an educator in the area of Geriatric Psychiatry. She is a member of numerous professional organizations and associations, such as the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, the American Medical Directors Association, and the American Psychiatric Association, to which she was elected a distinguished fellow.
