Christie Teigland, PhD serves as Senior Statistical Research Manager for MedAssurant, Inc. In this position, she provides expertise in the design and implementation of epidemiological and health outcomes research. Prior to joining MedAssurant, Dr. Teigland specialized in quality measurement and improvement research at Leading Age New York and the Foundation for Long Term Care where she developed innovative technology solutions to advance the use of data-driven decision making to improve quality of care and reduce healthcare costs. Dr. Teigland conceptualized and served as Principal Investigator for large outcome studies, including an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) funded patient safety project that developed predictive risk alerts for adverse healthcare events common in the elderly population, along with patient centered risk profiles to guide preventive actions. She developed new quality of life measures for patients with dementia under two Alzheimer’s Association grants, including a predictive model to identify undetected pain.
