Govind J. Bharwani, PhD earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University (WSU). He is the Director of Nursing Ergonomics and Alzheimer's Care at the Nursing Institute of West Central Ohio (NIWCO) and Co-Director of Ergonomics at the College of Engineering at Wright State University. He currently teaches courses in Industrial Ergonomics, Six Sigma and Kaizen/Lean Quality Improvement Methods at the College of Engineering at Wright State. He has consulted for over 100 organizations in the application of ergonomics and Lean-Six Sigma process improvement. Dr. Bharwani has effectively applied ergonomics principles to long-term care facilities, resulting in significant reduction of resident falls, employee injuries and improvements in Alzheimer's/Dementia resident care.
