Paula E. Lester, MD, FACP is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. After attending medical school at SUNY Downstate, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University Hospital followed by a Geriatrics fellowship at Parker Jewish Institute/LIJ.  Dr. Lester is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at SUNY-Stony Brook School of Medicine. She serves as the Associate Program Director for the Geriatric Fellowship program at Winthrop University Hospital, is the Associate Medical Director for Palliative Care Services in Highfield Gardens Care Center Nursing Home and provides inpatient Palliative consultations at Winthrop University Hospital. She has published and presented her research nationally.
