Barbara J. Messinger-Rapport, MD, CMD

Barbara Messinger-Rapport, MD, PhD, CMD is Program Director of the Geriatric Medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and the medical director of Fairfax Nursing Home. She is also an assistant professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Special interests include cardiovascular risk reduction in older adults, driving safety in older adults, osteoporosis and women's health, the role of evidence based medicine in nursing home care, and quality of life in dementia. She is a recent past president of the Ohio Geriatric Society and is on the board of the Ohio Medical Directors Association. She sits on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association.
