Joy Jurnack, RN, CCRC, CIP

Joy Jurnack, RN CCRC CIP has spent 23 years participating in research on human subjects beginning with coordinating trials in early treatment for hepatitis C virus in the general population and hemophiliacs co-infected with HIV and HCV, working on woman’s health issues in pre and post-menopausal women and supporting research in the chronic kidney disease. She served as the first Research Subject Advocate at The Mount Sinai Medical Center’s General Clinical Research Center (GCRC). At TKL Research, Inc., she coordinated research, developed and implemented programs for staff in GCP and worked with senior leadership to open a Phase 1 dermatology unit.

Ms. Jurnack’s career began in the GCRC at NY Presbyterian Hospital in 1985. She worked at the NY Regional Transplant Program as the organ procurement and education coordinator.
Ms. Jurnack joined NYU IRB as the Education and Training Manager in 2009. She worked to revise NYU’s IC template with board members and researchers.     [ Click for More ]
