Edgar is a freelancer/consultant based in the Netherlands. His MSc. degree in Biological Health Sciences was obtained from Maastricht University. His PhD was obtained from Maastricht University as well, on a biochemistry topic studied at the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht. From 1997 - 2003, Edgar was employed as a CRA, and sent on secondment to two major pharmaceutical companies and one biotechnical company. At the last company (Genzyme) he became their employee. After having gained substantial experience (mostly in the field of orphan diseases and paediatrics) he started his own consulting company in 2003. Since 2003, Edgar has worked on a variety of specialties, all within the clinical research operational fields. Usually he assists (bio)pharmaceutical companies in small scale projects, with relatively high scientific content. Edgar is a professional member of the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR), member of the European Forum for Good Clinical Practice, and serves as international correspondent for ICR's monthly 'CRfocus'.     [ Click for More ]
