217R - 2016 Father Robert C. Baumiller Symposium
March 12, 2016   4:15pm - 5:45pm

Pro/Con: The Debate Around Direct-Access-Testing Robert C. Baumiller Symposium

The field of Direct to Consumer Genomic Testing (DTC) has generated much debate and a great deal of interest by the lay press. There exists significant controversy about whether such testing should be available directly from companies without a health care intermediary as well as differing opinions about what kind of claims are legitimate in the marketing of such products.
Join us in watching a lively debate that was held at the recent meeting of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, featuring Genetics experts weighing in on the different sides of this complex and interesting issue.
