Carol Ann has spent the majority of her professional career in ambulatory care nursing. She has held professional positions in primary care, occupational health, clinical and patient education, quality management and telephone triage. Currently, she manages the Patient and Health Education Library at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, a multispeciality academic medical center in Phoenix, Arizona with over 65 specialty areas including a comprehensive cancer center and transplant program. She has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at national conferences on issues related to ambulatory care, patient education for the challenged learner, mentoring, the Baby Boomers impact on health care, and consumer health websites. A lifelong learner, she has a background in special education, nursing, public health, information services, and health and wellness initiatives.
