June Levine is a national consultant in Ambulatory Nursing with Kaiser Permanente. Her current focus is the design and implementation of an Ambulatory RN Residency Program. She has been a hospital nursing executive where she also supervised ambulatory practices. Ms. Levine also held the position of Director of Clinical Practice for the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles where she facilitated broad efforts in the area of disease management, quality improvement and disaster preparedness. Prior to her administrative background, Ms. Levine practiced as a clinical nurse specialist in neonatal and pediatric critical care. She has taught at the University level nursing leadership, bioethics and clinical pediatrics. Ms. Levine received her Baccalaureate and Master’s degree in nursing from Ohio State University. She has lectured extensively in the areas of pediatric nursing, nursing administration, bioethics, & disaster preparedness. She currently serves on the AAACN task force for Defining Ambulatory Nursing and on the California Action Coalition subcommittee for IOM Recommendation #3 which focuses on Nurse Residency Programs.
